Treatment Process

Your child’s doctor will meet with you to obtain their developmental, medical, academic, social history, and the presenting problem. Part two of the assessment will entail a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation of your child and a treatment plan. You will be educated on the common signs and symptoms of your child’s diagnosis and given treatment recommendations, which may include medication when appropriate. Treatment for children often incorporates behavior modification and classroom interventions prior to starting medication. Your child’s treatment will be tailored to his or her unique needs to promote wellness and recovery.
